Video is too Dark/Bright
It is recommended that schools stay in the default [P] (programmed) mode for recording. This mode controls most settings automatically and works well in almost all situations. To select recording [P] open the camera settings and click 'FUNC.' > 'Rec. Programs' > 'P Programmed AE'.
If the image is still too dark/bright then first try using the touchscreen to select the part of the image you would like to be properly exposed. If the image is still not correct use exposure compensation. Exposure compensation can be adjusted under 'FUNC.' > 'Exposure' where a horizontal dial will appear that will adjust the brightness of the image.
Video White Balance is Wrong
It is recommended that schools use the AWB (auto white balance). To set the camera to AWB select 'FUNC.' > 'WB White Balance' and select AWB.
If auto white balance is noticeably wrong then a custom white balance will need to be set. This is done by selecting 'FUNC.' > 'WB White Balance' and select Color Temperature, Set 1, or Set 2 for a custom value. Once selected a horizontal dial will appear to adjust the white balance of the image.
