Introduction
There are two ways that one may want to add video and images to Wirecast, as a layer of an existing shot and as a new shot. We will start by going through how to add an image as a layer of an existing shot then cover how to add media as a new shot.
Adding an Image to an Existing Shot
First select the shot you want to add the image to then open the Shot Editor Panel.
Pictured above is an example with my image being "broadcast_test_pattern.jpg".
In order to add your own image click the plus button and the add layer dialog box should appear. At the bottom left corner of the dialog box press the 'Add Media' button and select your image.
Additionally, you can drag and drop files into the list of shot layers to add them.
Adding media as a New Shot
The process of adding a media file as a shot rather than a layer is almost exactly the same.
Pictured above is the Shot Selection area with three shots.
To add media as a new shot, press the plus button on the desired layer and follow the steps detailed above. Alternatively, you can drag and drop files to the Shot Selection area and a new shot will automatically be created with that media.
